Forests are essential components of Ethiopia's environmental and economic landscape,
providing critical ecosystem services and supporting the livelihoods of millions (Solomon,
et al., 20181). Known for its unique biodiversity, Ethiopia's coffee forests hold immense
ecological and cultural significance. These forests not only contribute to local economies
through coffee production but also play a key role in carbon sequestration and climate
regulation (Tigabu & Gessesse, 20252). However, rapid changes in land use, driven by
agricultural expansion and urbanization, threaten the integrity of these vital ecosystems.
